Brookfield is the Headquarters of the Leicestershire Ladies Bowling Association, and as such we host many County events.
In August we again held our annual Shelagh Gardner Trophy Day and on this occasion we also celebrated a significant birthday for one of our special members, Mrs. Joyce Wright. Here is Joyce being presented with a plant by President Louise.
This was a lovely surprise for Joyce who is an extremely good Club Member, and is always willing to help. Her Son and Daughter-in-law were able to join us for tea, and thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.
Our Club Finals organised by the Competition Secretary are currently taking place, although it was necessary to re-arrange one or two because of the weather.
The Closing Day and Presentation Lunch for the Ladies Playing Section was held on Tuesday 28th September. We have had a good season, members very much enjoyed their bowls and the company of friends.
